The EveryTrail iPhone app makes it very easy to capture your GPS tracks and photos, and then upload directly to EveryTrail.
More info is on our iPhone page. Please leave feedback in the iPhone forum thread.
Before we woke up this morning one of our members in the UK, Geoff Jones, already discovered the app, and used it to create a very nice trip. His review, including trip widget, can be found in his blog.
We hope you like the app, and we look forward to your feedback.

Hi, I’m new to EveryTrail and enjoying your iPhone app (which is how I heard about it). It seems to work quite well as long as I remember not to lock the phone. I did find a possible bug though – I hit Stop and then the Home button right away thinking Stop would Pause it (not needed apparently) and when I came back to the app the track was gone and everything was reset. Elevation seems to be getting lost in upload too.
I wanted to post on the forum but it says “Creating a new account is currently not possible.”
Cool app, but I wanted to leave some feedback about improvements, and your forum doesn’t seem to work. It wants a different username/password from my Everytrail username/password, apparently. And it won’t let me register a new one – says registration is currently unavailable.
My main feedback was that I was disappointed to see that my photos weren’t saved to the Camera Roll and/or that they weren’t saved at full resolution when they were uploaded to EveryTrail. I was careful to take nice photos on my recent hike testing Everytrail and it looks like all my nice photos have been reduced from 1600×1200 down to something like 480×360. The “originals” are no larger. So I guess my full res photos are just gone?
A nice and stable application that makes it very easy to log and photograph trips with the iPhone. Future improvements would be to implement some kind of power conserving features in the program – like turning down/shutting of the backlight. To bad it can’t run in the background, but that’s a limitation in the iphone itself. I’d like to see a similar program for symbian phones, which are better at multitasking.
